Driven by Purpose. Built on Sustainability.

About Us

We’re a Small NGO Creating a Big Impact Through Handcrafted Change — One Sustainable Creation at a Time.

Where It All Began - We are a dedicated team from Hopes Malaysia, a grassroots NGO that has been empowering rural communities in Sabah since 2016. BorneoCraft is one of our key initiatives — created to support creative artisans and local talents by connecting their handcrafted cultural creations to the global market. What began as community-based development has evolved into a meaningful digital platform that champions sustainable craftsmanship, preserves cultural heritage, and opens fair trade opportunities for rural makers through purpose-driven design and storytelling.

Vision

To build a thriving digital artisan hub rooted in creativity, sustainable trade, and cultural heritage — empowering communities, inspiring artistic expression, and preserving nature through conscious, globally connected craftsmanship.

Mission

We connect artisans with the world through a digital platform that fosters creativity, fair trade, and cultural heritage.

By expanding market access and supporting community collaboration, we aim to uplift livelihoods, preserve traditional craftsmanship, and promote ethical, eco-conscious practices. We also empower the next generation to carry forward cultural traditions through innovation, skill-building, and creative expression.

How We Work

1. Built on Artisan Collaboration

We develop long-term partnerships with artisans, rural makers, and craft designers — working hand in hand to co-create meaningful, high-quality pieces. Every collaboration respects the artisan’s unique skills, cultural roots, and creative expression, forming the foundation of our socially-driven craft ecosystem

Each creation is ethically made using eco-friendly materials, offering artisans the opportunity to generate sustainable income while preserving traditional techniques and promoting conscious consumption.
